The MedNet Committee would like to congratulate David Beattie on winning the inaugural ITI Mentor of the Year award.
David received the award at the ITI Conference Gala Dinner, which took place at the Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield, on 10 May 2019. This is the first time that the category of Mentor of the Year has been included since the launch of the ITI Awards in 2017.
The ITI said that “mentees were full of praise for his approach and cited many factors that helped them to grow as translators, including the quality of feedback; generosity with his time; adaptability to their needs and experience; his advice on useful resources; and willingness to help them make work contacts.”
In addition to his work on the MedNet Mentoring Scheme, David is also a MedNet Committee member and our Newsletter Editor.
